Relatives

It is the duty of a Muslim to stand by his relatives as much as possible in times of danger and hardship. Unnecessary quarrels with others are prohibited. It is not permissible to sever a relationship with a Muslim brother for more than three days. So no matter what, it is the guidance of Islam to be in harmony with everyone. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘It is not lawful for a Muslim to sever a relationship with another brother for more than three days. They both met but turned away. Then the better of the two is the one who starts talking again through the salutation. (Bukhari, Hadith: 606)
