Shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran (R)
Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) Shrine (Hazrat Shah Paran (RA)) is one of the spiritual establishments of Sylhet city. Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) was the nephew and main follower of Shah Jalal (RA), the preacher of Islam who came to Bangladesh from the Middle East. The distance from the shrine of Hazrat Shah Jalal (RA) to the shrine of Shah Paran (RA) is only 6 kilometers. The shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) is located on a large hill in Khadim Nagar area east of Sylhet city.
It is said that the stairway to the shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran (R) was built during the Mughal period. To the west of the shrine is a mosque built in Mughal architecture. Not far from the main shrine hill is a house for female tourists, a resting place for foreign tourists and a pond for aju bath.
